These charcoal filters are made in Japan and are about 97% carbon. They are naturally made from oak and completely plastic free (they do come wrapped in a compostable wood pulp bag for sanitation!)
They are great for removing lead, mercury, copper, aluminum, uranium and molybdenum while imparting calcium, magnesium and potassium!
Large enough to filter a pitcher of water and will last 4 months.
The water literally tastes so fresh and almost sweet with these filters and to say we’re obsessed is an understatement.
Every month, take your piece of charcoal and place it in a shallow pan and boil for 5 min. Remove from boiling water and let dry for 30 min. This will keep the charcoal porous.
